Please take a moment to view this video of Monday's Ventura Walk for Life - close to half of the attendees were St. Augustine families! This was a LOCAL prayer walk to make reparation for abortion near the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion in the United States.
People gathered on Monday, January 23rd at the County Government Center and prayerfully walked to Planned Parenthood in Ventura. In addition approximately 25 St. Augustine students and alumni made the big trip to San Francisco where over 50,000 people attended the West Coast March for Life.
Thank you to the SAA ProLife Club for helping support the Life Centers of Ventura County with their January Collection. Anyone who would like to donate a basket or item to the Annual Life Centers Gala, please contact Mrs. Schuberg ASAP as she is in charge of putting together the silent auction this year.
This Wednesday, January 25th at 7:15pm in the hall, will be one of only two mandatory meetings we have all year, so we can make sure parents hear essential information, and to give parents the opportunity to ask us questions.
The principal topic will be the status of our WCEA/WASC Accreditation visit. One of the Action Plans for our accreditation is to consider the need for Campus Development which will affect us all, so we will give an update on our effort to evaluate the current needs and future demands of the Academy.
Below you will find the Introduction to Focus on Learning with the subsequent Chapters to follow in a series of posts under the same title.
This Friday, January 13th at 7:30pm in the SAA Hall we will have a High School Only Movie Night. Admission is only $3.00 and parents are welcome to attend with their High Schoolers as we will be showing Alfred Hitchcock's "I Confess".
A Family Movie Night will be forthcoming later this month. Stay tuned!
